Capt. Chris Ferguson (US Navy, educated at Archbishop Ryan High School in Philadelphia, PA by ABVM Province Franciscans. Capt. Ferguson piloted the space shuttle Atlantis when it flew to the space center

 

 

 

The pastoral ministry of Fr. Placid Stroik at Covenant House in New York, which each year shelters, nurtures and counsels upwards of 7,000 homeless youth. At a recent Covenant "Rights of Passage" graduation ceremony, Fr. Placid was reminded that it was his words that inspired a young man to persevere despite towering odds.
